Pointed kufi hats

Another couple of slightly pointed kufi hats. The one on the left is made with my spirals hand painted fabric. The one on the right is top stitched patchwork.

An the rest I finished.

Here are the rest of the pieces I finished. The first two are printed. The rest are painted. The first one is my favourite. I probably wont cut it up.

Painted on green cotton. Whiter dots are actually silver paint.

I thought my first layer didn't have enough contrast so I gave it a second one. Whiter lines are also silver paint.

Pastel shades

I dyed these pieces of recycled cotton with some old dyes I found. There wasn't much dye left and I put in lots of fabric so I got these pastel tones of greens and purple. Just enough to start painting on an off white background. 

Stamps and stencils

I enjoyed making these.

Lino cut stamps (and one rubber one) glued on to a piece of wood. Not very finished off, as you can see, to be combined with the plastic stencils.
